FIFA World Cup fans traveling to watch the games in the United States have discovered a famous dip you might enjoy with your wings or pizza.
That’s right, ranch dressing is having a moment during the tournament. So much so that some fans want to take some home as a souvenir, which prompted the TSA to remind them about how to pack the condiment for the trip home.
TSA reminds World Cup fans from overseas how to pack ranch dressing for return trip
World Cup fans, particularly from Europe, have traveled to the United States for the games and have been discovering food all over America, including ranch, according to Parade.
Taking a bottle of creamy ranch dressing home might take some planning for some World Cup fans. The Transportation Security Administration tells soccer fans traveling to make room for the ranch in their checked luggage unless it meets the 3.4-ounce liquid rule.
TSA reminds passengers that have found their love for ranch to keep the condiment in a checked bag, and to keep carry-on sauces (or liquids in general) to 3.4 ounces or less.
Why TSA is keeping 3.4-ounce rule?
Everyone has to keep liquids to 3.4 ounces or less when passing through TSA security checkpoints.
Having to purchase smaller portions of liquids and squeezing your favorite toiletries into tinier bottles can be a hassle. But the TSA has its reason for it. Limiting liquids is based on real security concerns, and it keeps you and other passengers safe.
TSA clarified why it got rid of the shoes-off policy but kept the liquid 3.4-ounce rule in a 2025 Facebook post.
Why do you need to keep your liquid amounts small? According to TSA, explosives in liquid form can be disguised as everyday products.
Liquids as defined by TSA can be anything from liquids, gels, and aerosols, and food products like soft cheese and salsa.
