There’s a heat advisory in effect in the Cincinnati area, and temperatures are expected to get as high as 97 with heat index values as high as 106.
That extreme level of heat means it’s important to stay hydrated by drinking water – and playing in it.
If you’re going to head outdoors and brave the heat, be sure you enjoy some of Cincinnati’s water parks and spraygrounds to stay cool and have fun doing it. We’ve rounded up a list of nearby parks below with hours, pricing and other information.
A valid motor vehicle permit is required for vehicle entry at Great Parks’ parks and conservation areas across Hamilton County. The annual sticker costs $10 for county residents and $16 for non-residents.

Pleasant Ridge Sprayground
Sprayground is open for kids and is free to use.
Silverlake The Family Place
This family-friendly entertainment destination features an indoor aquatic center and an outdoor water park. Access requires a Silverlake membership.
South Fairmount Sprayground

Soak City at Kings Island

Veteran’s Memorial Park

Washington Park
This 7,000-square-foot interactive water feature at Washington Park includes over 130 pop-up jets that can be synchronized to music and lights. Entry is free.
Winton Woods: Parky’s Ark Wet Playground
Free to the public, Winton Woods is a 2,555-acre park with a children’s water play area. Motor vehicle permit required to enter park.
Woodland Mound: Parky’s Wetland Adventure
Free to the public, Woodland Mound is a 1,066-acre park that features a water play area for kids. Motor vehicle permit required to enter park.
Wake Nation Water Park
A water sports complex with a floating playground and cable park, summer camps, wakeboarding and lessons. Tickets start at $39.
Ziegler Park pool
The Ziegler Park pool features a zero-depth entry shallow area, five 25-meter lanes, and a deep end with a diving board and climbing wall. Entry is $4 per person.
