The NFL denied the application for quarterback Brendan Sorsby to throw his hat in the ring for the Cleveland Browns and other teams to target in the Supplemental Draft. This comes after a months-long saga has led us to this point.
And it’s not over just yet.
Sorsby’s legal representation, Jeffrey Kessler, has now released a statement to Yahoo! Sports that this move by the NFL, “is a violation of the collective bargaining agreement and we intend to pursue the players’ rights with the NFLPA.”
There is just one issue with this matter, however: Sorsby is not a part of the NFL Player’s Union just yet, as he is not an NFL player. So, seeking out the assistance of the NFLPA may just be a futile endeavor, unless the association is looking to challenge the league’s overall authority over the Supplemental Draft.
Apparently, this saga is not over just yet.
