Tackle Box 2 adapts to flooding, reopens, to pick up customers in UTVs

FREMONT – The iconic Tackle Box 2 shows the resiliency of river life, as it was closed for only one day when flood waters rose on the Sandusky River on April 2.

As the name suggests, the restaurant is used to dealing with water. They are fully open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on April 3, but parking will be unusual.

River life requires a willingness to adapt. To avoid the flooded parking lot, the owners have asked customers to park along Sandusky Avenue where, after 4 p.m., they will be driven to the restaurant in Kubota utility vehicles.
