The fifth annual HUDSONmART comes to Hudson’s downtown greens on Sunday, July 27.

This one-day art festival, which features more than 70 artisans, will include a demonstration booth throughout the day, with various artists demonstrating their processes in half-hour time slots.
New this year will be a “Sheep to Shawl” event, where a live sheep is shorn, and the wool is carded, spun and woven on site. At the end of the day, a shawl will be created. This is happening on the corner of East Main and Division Street, with the sheep shearing at 10 a.m.
Those attending the arts festival also can purchase food and hear music on two stages, one at Gazebo Green and the other on the porch of Hudson Community Foundation at 49 East Main.
Presented by Destination Hudson, the event runs on the Clocktower, Gazebo and Park Lane Greens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, and is sponsored by the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, Door2 Art Studio, Hudson Community Foundation and Hudson League for Service. For details, including maps and vendor listings, go to www.destinationhudson.com.
