There’s something spec-quack-ular happening in Cuyahoga Falls this weekend.
A six-story tall inflatable known as the “World’s Largest Rubber Duck” is taking center stage at the Ohio Rubber Duck Dash and Festival in downtown Cuyahoga Falls.
Crews began the hours-long process on April 23 of inflating “Mama Duck,” a massive inflatable that’s 64 feet wide and 74 feet long.
The festivities continue Saturday, April 25, with food trucks and vendors beginning at 10 a.m. The Ohio Rubber Duck Dash, a signature student-run fundraising event where thousands of rubber ducks race for prizes, will start at 1:30 p.m. The day’s activities also include music and business-sponsored experiences.
As of Saturday morning, Mama Duck was fully inflated, according to Kaylee Piper, the executive director of Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership.
The duck sustained a rip in Thursday’s storms, according to an Ohio Rubber Duck Dash social media post. It was repaired, but later Friday air was let out again because of another round of storms.
