Former Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson is returning to the Cleveland Browns.
Grigson will be a Senior Football Advisor, a source confirms for the Beacon Journal. Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot was the first to report.
Grigson was in Indianapolis from 2012-14. Among those who worked for him with the Colts was current Browns general manager Andrew Berry, who worked in scouting.

The 54-year-old Grigson has twice previously worked for the Browns. Once was as a senior personnel executive in 2017, while he was a Senior Football Advisor in 2020-21 after Berry was hired in Cleveland.
Grigson had most recently worked with the Minnesota Vikings.He was Senior Vice President for Player Personnel from 2022-24, then spent the 2025 season as assistant general manager.
Grigson got his NFL start as a national scout for the St. Louis Rams in 1999. He’s also worked for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks during his time in front offices around the league.
