Dinner and show for Dover school district seniors
DOVER – Dover City Schools invites district residents age 65 and over to a pasta dinner and musical preview at 5 p.m. March 18. The dinner will be followed by the high school Thespians’ performance of “Suessical, The Musical.”
Reservations are due by March 13, and can be make by calling 330-364-1906. The dinner is limited to the first 300 reservations.

Video game soundtracks concert at Performing Arts Center
NEW PHILADELPHIA ‒ The Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas will present Playstation the Concert at 7:30 p.m. March 17. A 15‑piece ensemble of virtuoso soloists, enhanced by LED projections and surround sound, will transform iconic video game soundtracks. Tickets start at $20. Learn about locomotives, genealogy and national anthem
NEW PHILADELPHIA ‒ Age of Steam Roadhouse Museum in Sugarcreek and its locomotives will be the topic of Golden Era of Railroading program at 2 p.m. March 13, at the main library in New Philadelphia.
Additionally, genealogist Deb Kitko will talk about the value military records for family history research at 6 p.m. March 16, and local historian Chris Hart will explore the disappearance of The Star-Spangled Banner during a program at 6 p.m. March 17.

Photo contest winners to be honored
NEW PHILADELPHIA – A ceremony to honor the winners of the DD Awareness Month Photo Contest will be held from 11 a.m. to noon March 12, at the Tuscarawas County Public Library. Melissa Mateo won the adult category, Bronson Schwarm the youth category and Sarah Sidoti and Ayleah Keens the Ally category.
Additionally, all contest submissions will be displayed throughout March and April.
Dover resident appointed to state advisory council
COLUMBUS – Gregory Kimble of Dover has been reappointed to the Technical Advisory Council on oil and gas by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine. His term began Feb. 27 and will end Jan. 31, 2029.
Drive-thru dinner at church
SHERRODSVILLE – Sherrodsville Calvary Church will have a drive-thru Swiss steak dinner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. March 14. The menu includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw/applesauce and dessert for a donation.

DOVER ‒ Ohio Means Jobs representatives will provide help with resume writing, job search assistance and interviewing skills from 10 a.m. to noon March 9, at the Dover Library. Trivia night will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 March 11 and a ukelele jam session is scheduled for 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. March 14.
