Reds' Marty Brennaman statue outside Great American Ball Park damaged, per report

The Marty Brennaman statue installed in September on the north side of Crosley Terrace outside Great American Ball Park was damaged, with part of the microphone having broken off.

The Reds are looking into the situation. The “Voice of the Reds” joined eight Reds legends with a bronze likeness outside GABP.

In 2019, Brennaman signed off for the final time after 46 years as the radio voice of the Reds.

In May, Brennaman sounded off about baseball commissioner Rob Manfred’s removal of Pete Rose from its permanently ineligible list during an on-field interview with Fanduel Sports Network’s Jim Day on Pete Rose Night before the Reds’ game against the Chicago White Sox.

This story was updated to add police footage of the incident.
