Pringles Pop Dog Buns puts its flavors into hot dog buns in iconic cans

A Cincinnati-born chip company is revamping a summer barbecue staple.

Pringles, developed by Cincinnati’s Procter & Gamble in the 1950s and ’60s, has announced the launch of the brand’s first-ever Pop Dog Buns, a line of potato-based hot dog buns infused with three of the company’s signature flavors: Sour Cream & Onion, BBQ and Honey Mustard.

According to a press release, the buns will be 7.5 inches long and packaged in the brand’s iconic cans for a “perfect fit.”

Fans will have the opportunity to snag the limited-edition buns at noon ET on July 8 and July 15, National Hot Dog Day.

The buns will be available through Pringles’ online marketplace, OnceYouPopMarket.com, and come free with the purchase of a Pringles Three-Pack for $6.97, while supplies last. The three-pack includes Pringles Sour Cream & Onion, Honey Mustard and BBQ crisps.

The product is part of Pringles’ new “Once You Pop” campaign, which aims to reimagine everyday foods through the lens of the brand’s iconic flavors.

“With our new ‘Once You Pop’ campaign, our mission is to continually deliver the unexpected to our fans,” Mauricio Jenkins, salty snacks brand and content lead at Mars North America, said in a news release. “We’re reimagining ordinary, bland buns and transforming them into an extraordinarily flavorful experience fit for our iconic cans.”

P&G sold Pringles to Kellogg Co. in 2012 for $2.7 billion. In 2023, Kellogg split into two public companies: WK Kellogg Co. and Kellanova, the latter of which sells snack foods, including Pringles. Mars Inc., a food company behind several popular brands such as M&M’s and Snickers, acquired Kellanova in 2025.
