Portage County clothing center in Ravenna adds evening hours

The Phyllis Zumkehr Portage County Clothing Center in Ravenna is expanding its hours and once again opening its doors to the community one evening each week.

The Clothing Center, 3377 State Route 59, will be open four days a week. Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays. Plans are to expand to five days as demand continues to grow.

The public is invited to stop by, explore the store and learn about the center’s work.

“Our community has spoken, and we are answering the call by expanding our hours to ensure more people have access to the resources they need,” a center representative said. “We’re especially hopeful this change will help working individuals and families who’ve struggled to access the store in the past.”

The Clothing Center accepts donations of gently used clothing and household goods, or money. Donation dropoff is by appointment only. Schedule donations at 330-296-0503. Monetary donations can be made at shorturl.at/GKlNP, or by check mailed to 705 Oakwood St., Suite 221, Ravenna, OH 44266. Make checks payable to The County Clothing Center.
