BETHLEHEM TWP. − Firefighters found a body June 4 in a home in the 4500 block of Hudson Drive SW after the firefighters had extinguished a fire there, the Stark County Sheriff’s Office said.
A statement by the sheriff’s office said investigators have not yet identified the person. The statement did not disclose the deceased’s gender or probable age.
A caller reported the fire around 3:42 p.m.
Firefighters from the Erie Valley Fire Department, the Bolivar Fire Department and several nearby departments along with Stark County Sheriff’s deputies responded.
They found the home in flames. After they got the fire under control, they found the deceased, and a Stark County Coroner’s investigator responded to the scene.
It’s not clear where in the home the firefighters found the body.
The Ohio Fire Marshal’s office is also responding to investigate the cause of the fire.
