Ohio State lands commitment from 7-1 freshman center Vuk Lazarevic

Ohio State has landed a commitment from 7-foot-1 center Vuk Lazarevic.

A native of Serbia who played at Mount Pleasant (Utah) Wasatch Academy in 2025-26, Lazarevic will be a freshman for the Buckeyes in 2026-27. He was an unranked prospect in the 247Sports.com rankings.

He averaged 8.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 17 games for Wasatch last season.

Lazarevic is also known to have taken a visit to UConn on May 5. The Buckeyes will start a home-and-home with the Huskies this year.

He joins a list of newcomers to Ohio State that includes incoming freshmen Anthony Thompson and Alex Smith and transfers Justin Pippen (California), Jimmie Williams (Duquesne), Curtis Givens (Memphis) and Andrija Jelavic (Kentucky).

Lazarevic is likely a developmental piece who played just one season at Wasatch Academy but did earn a starting spot for the Tigers.
