AKRON — Storms earlier Saturday, June 6 have pushed back the start time of Louisville High School softball’s OHSAA state championship game at Firestone Stadium.
The game, which was scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday, now has a tentative start time of 9:40, according to a social media post from Louisville athletics director Terrie Horn. A later post by Horn said the start time could move up some since the Division II semifinal ahead of Louisville’s state final is moving along quickly.
A storm late Saturday morning delayed state tournament action for about two hours, pushing back the start times of the immediate three games in front of the Division III state final featuring Louisville.
More storms are in the forecast for Saturday evening, which could further alter the start time.

The Leopards advanced to the title game by defeating Madison 3-2 in 10 innings on Friday. They will play Bloom Carroll (25-4) in the finals.
Louisville (18-13), is in the state tournament for the first time since 2019 when the Leopards won a state championships.

Action was suspended early Saturday afternoon for about 90 minutes, delaying the start of the Liberty Union-South Range Division V state semifinal. That game, scheduled for 12:30 p.m., started just after 2.
