The Ohio Boys Scholastic Volleyball Coaches Association announced on June 8 that it would induct former Moeller volleyball state champion-winning player and head coach Greg Ulland in its inaugural Hall of Fame class.

The Moeller volleyball program, which just won its 12th Ohio state championship on May 30, won its first state championship in 1997 when Ulland was a player on the team and a first-team All-Ohio pick.

Later as the head coach for the Crusaders, Ulland led Moeller to the state championship game eight times in a nine-season span from 2003 to 2011. The Crusaders won championships in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2009 under Ulland.

Ulland spent the last three seasons as the head volleyball coach for Mount Notre Dame.

At Alter, Erford coached for 12 years, winning over 200 games, nine regional titles and six Division II state championships.

Ulland and Erford will be recognized along with the 2026 All-Ohio selections on June 12 at Wilmington College. Doors open at 5 p.m. and adults cost $10 to enter with those 18 and under getting free admission to the recognition and two all-star matches between Ohio’s Division I and II boys volleyball standouts.
