CHILLICOTHE— Nothing Bundt Cakes has officially opened in Chillicothe, bringing with it tons of flavorful sweet treats for consumers to enjoy.
The business was originally started in Nevada by two women, one with a great cake recipe and another with a delicious icing recipe. Since then, it has grown into a franchise that offers locally made treats to people all over the country. Chillicothe is the fifth location owned by an Ohio franchiser.
Locally, customers can buy cakes in four sizes and a variety of flavors, including seasonal flavors that change regularly. The storefront also sells other items needed for parties like plates, napkins and serving items.
“Its kind of like a one-stop shop,” said District Manager Jessica Blough.
Blough said the owners of the franchise chose Chillicothe when they chose to expand because they wanted to bring the business and its goods to a place that didn’t have a Nothing Bundt Cakes nearby. Before the Chillicothe store opened, the closest franchise of the business was over 40 miles away.
“We are so excited to be in Chillicothe,” said Blough.
As they get settled, the business plans on learning more about the area and connecting with schools and hospitals, as they often hold fundraisers to support community causes and organizations.
“We are extremely community driven,” said Blough
In addition to fundraising, the franchise is adding jobs to the area by employing around 25 people.
Nothing Bundt Cakes in Chillicothe is located at 1251 North Bridge Street. The store is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
