There will be no international trip for the Cleveland Browns on their 2026 schedule.
The NFL officially announced the full slate of their International Series games on May 13. As expected, the Browns were passed over for any of the three they were potentially eligible for, including the inaugural NFL regular-season game in Paris.
The French sports outlet RMC Sports had reported Feb. 1 that the Browns were going to be the opponent for the New Orleans Saints in an Oct. 25 — Week 7 — game in Paris’ Stade de France. The outlet even reported that Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders had filmed a commercial at the stadium promoting the event.

Three months later, it’s turns out it’ll be the Pittsburgh Steelers who will be the Saints’ opponent for that game. It had appeared for some time Cleveland wasn’t going to be the team facing New Orleans in France, but the Steelers were confirmed by multiple reports May 12.
NFC teams were the designated “home” teams for the international games, and had to give up one of their nine actual home games. AFC teams will be the “home” team for the 2027 international games, when they each have nine home games instead of the eight they have in 2026.
Eagles, Texans will be Jacksonville Jaguars’ opponents in London
Paris wasn’t the only opportunity the Browns had to potentially play overseas in 2026. With a road game scheduled against the Jacksonville Jaguars, that opened the door for them to return to London in one of the two games the Jaguars will be play there.
The Philadelphia Eagles, who haven’t played a road game at Jacksonville since 2010, will face the Jaguars in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Week 5 on Oct 11. The Jaguars will play their AFC South rival Houston Texans in Wembley Stadium in Week 6 on Oct. 18
It’s the first divisional game the NFL has played outside of the United States since the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers played in Mexico City on Nov. 18. 2019. It’s the first divisional game played outside of the North American contintent since Nov. 3, 2019, when the Jaguars and Texans played in Wembley Stadium.
The Jaguars are currently in a multi-year renovation of their home stadium that is scheduled to be completed for the 2028 season. They’re playing their 2026 home game in Jacksonville, including the game against the Browns, with a reduction in capacity to less than 43,000, while the 2027 home games will be played in Orlando, Fla.
