Newark USBC honors four bowlers at Hall of Fame ceremonies

NEWARK – The Newark United States Bowling Congress recently added two bowlers to their Hall of Fame and also honored two others with lifetime achievement awards.

Scott Christian has bowled 14 perfect games and recorded two 800 series and a high game average of 232. Christian spent 12 years as a high school coach at Licking Valley and Utica.

Donnie Morrison also has bowled 14 perfect games and recorded three 800 series and a high average of 224, part of a stretch of a 200 or better average for 23 consecutive seasons. He is a past president of the Legend Valley USBC.

Kasey Murillo, a lifetime achievement award winner, has coached for Heath High School for 11 years and is a former board member of the Newark USBC. She has bowled one perfect game and a high series of 770.

Kim Pullins, a lifetime achievement award winner, is association manager of the Newark USBC. She has bowled a high game of 297, a high series of 786 and a high average of 220.

The Newark USBC Hall of Fame was founded in 1996 by Bob Jones. Ninety-nine area bowlers have been inducted during the past three decades.
