National Weather Service issues winter advisory for east central Ohio

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for east central Ohio, including Tuscarawas County.

The agency is predicting two to five inches of snow will fall overnight in the region, with a slippery commute expected the morning of Dec. 2. The advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. Dec. 2.

“Plan on slippery road conditions,” the National Weather Service said. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute.”

The heaviest show is expected between 4 and 8 a.m., according to a post on the Pittsburgh office’s Facebook page. “Widespread snow should rapidly end late morning, with lingering showers diminishing through the afternoon.”

The high temperature Dec. 1 is expected to be 36 degrees, with an overnight low around 27.
