MrBeast set out to grant the wishes of some 100 kids battling cancer.
And those travels brought him to Akron.
The social media content creator teamed up with LeBron James recently in an effort to create awareness and help the efforts of Stand Up To Cancer, Amgen and St. Baldrick’s Childhood Cancer Research Foundation help families and kids with cancer.
The visit was also to bring smiles to some Greater Akron kids.
With an assist from the LeBron James Family Foundation, six children along with MrBeast got to shoot hoops with the NBA superstar from Akron (who plans to play with the Philadelphia 76ers next season) on LeBron’s signature court at the I Promise School in Akron.
One of the kids said “I’m not in a dream, I’m not in a dream” over and over in a video of the visit posted on YouTube.
The kids also got to tour LeBron’s museum inside of the House Three Thirty and have lunch at the Buckets restaurant.
“It means a lot to me and my Foundation to be a part of uplifting these amazing kids and giving them a day to just have fun,” LeBron said in a statement. “It was an honor to share the court with them, and even better to share our space and create incredible memories alongside their families. We just wanted them to know they are real life superheroes.”
The travels of MrBeast across the country and the world to grant the wishes of the cancer patient are captured in a video released this week on YouTube.
The wishes ranged from going skiing to swimming with a whale to meeting actors and sports legends like LeBron to a visit to Disney World.

Together, every step brings us a little closer to a world without cancer.”
