Here are the selections for the Wooster Daily Record All-Area Offensive Team for the 2025 season:
Wooster Daily Record All-Area Offensive Football Team
Quarterbacks
Carter Hignight, Dalton
Hignight’s 2025 raw numbers of 13 touchdown passes, 10 interceptions and 1,870 passing yards on a 69.4% completion percentage don’t stand out as much as his sophomore numbers (29 TD passes, 6 INTs, 60.8% completion percentage, 2,506 passing yards), but he was still steady for Dalton in their 9-4 season and regional semifinal appearance. The junior was a Division VI All-Ohio Third Team, Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and WCAL First Team pick.
Kael Lewis, Hillsdale
Lewis was pretty elite in his first year starting as a sophomore and he didn’t miss a beat as a junior. In leading Hillsdale to a 13-2 season and a second straight Division VII state title game appearance, Lewis (27 TD passes, 4 INTs, 2,451 passing yards, 69.4% completion percentage, 362 rushing yards, 10 rushing TDs) was named to the Division VII All-Ohio First Team, Division VII Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and WCAL First Team.
Luke Starr, Triway
Operating Triway’s quick tempo offense to a tee, Starr (28 TD passes, 9 INTs, 59.9% completion percentage, 2,635 passing yards, 103.9 QB rating, 704 rushing yards, 10 rushing TDs) guided the Titans to a 10-win season and a Principals Athletic Conference title. The senior made the Division V All-Ohio Second Team, Division V Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and was named PAC Player of the Year.
Jacob Bruner, Norwayne
In leading Norwayne to consecutive Wayne County Athletic League titles, Bruner (17 TD passes, 6 INTs, 61.3% completion percentage, 2,002 passing yards) made the Division V Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention and WCAL First Team.
Cameron Kraft, Orrville
Kraft, a Division V Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention and PAC First Teamer, threw 17 touchdown passes, four interceptions and completed 65.8 percent of his throws for 1,690 passing yards.
Brayden Parsons, West Holmes
The junior threw 21 touchdown passes and seven interceptions for 1,873 passing yards for the Knights. Parsons made the Division IV East District Offensive Second Team.
Running Backs
Owen Sloan, Hillsdale
The workhorse senior back had one of the best individual seasons in all of Division VII in 2025. Aside from guiding the Falcons to another state title game, Hillsdale’s all-time career rushing yards and rushing touchdowns leader ran over 2,000 yards (2,108) on 251 carries and ran it in the endzone 32 times. Sloan was named to the Division VII All-Ohio First Team, Division VII Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and WCAL First Team, while winning Division VII Northeast Inland District Co-Offensive Player of the Year and WCAL Player of the Year.
Collin Caley, Loudonville
The sophomore back rushed for 748 yards on 105 carries and seven rushing touchdowns, while making the Division VII Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention.
Mason Haines, Smithville
A true power back, Smithville’s career rushing yards leader carried the run game for the Smithies in their 10-win season. The senior ran for 1,381 yards on 225 carries and 14 rushing touchdowns for 6.1 yards per carry. Haines made the Division VI All-Ohio First Team, Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and WCAL First Team.
Jaxon Ryder, Dalton
After missing four-and-a-half games due to tearing his ACL and PCL, the senior came back to play and rushed for a team-high 835 yards on 103 carries and 12 rushing touchdowns for a Dalton team that made the regional semifinals. Ryder was on the Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive Second Team and WCAL Second Team.
Carson Smith, Rittman
The junior found himself on the Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive Second Team and WCAL First Team after rushing for 1,101 yards on 142 carries and 13 rushing touchdowns.
Carson Arnold, Norwayne
A WCAL First Teamer, Arnold rushed for 62.7 yards per game, 714 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns on the season.
Nathan Eberhardt, Tuslaw
The PAC First Teamer rushed for a team-leading 909 yards on 174 carries and five rushing touchdowns, while adding in three touchdown catches.
Parker Hostetler, Orrville
Hostetler’s combination of strength, making key cuts and burst made him a handful for defenses this season as he produced 1,318 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns on 201 carries for 6.4 yards per carry. The junior made the Division IV All-Ohio Second Team, Division IV Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and PAC First Team.
Brody Bowman, West Holmes
The senior ran for 1,120 rushing yards on 181 carries and eight rushing touchdowns as he was chosen on the Division IV All-Ohio Honorable Mention, Division IV East District Offensive First Team and Ohio Cardinal Conference First Team.
Wide Receivers
Hayden McFadden, Hillsdale
Hillsdale’s all-time leader in receiving yards, receptions and touchdown catches had another high-end season. McFadden (45 catches, 915 receiving yards, 12 TD catches) was a Division VII All-Ohio Second Team, Division VII Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and WCAL Second Team selection.
Isaiah Lee, Smithville
Lee was an all-purpose threat to score anytime he touched the football as the sophomore gathered up 1,225 all-purpose yards (401 rushing, 625 receiving, 103 kick return, 96 punt return ) for 12 total touchdowns (7 run, 4 catch, 1 kick return). The sophomore was a Division VI All-Ohio Second Team, Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and WCAL First Team pick.
Bruin Flinner, Triway
The junior wideout submitted a fine season where he did damage, whether as a pass-catcher (71 receptions, 1,017 receiving yards, 9 TD catches, 84.8 receiving yards per game), runner in the Titans Wildcat offense, or on reverses (132 rushing yards 8 rushing TDs) or on special teams (296 kick return yards, 88 punt return yards). Flinner was selected to the Division V All-Ohio First Team, Division V Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and PAC First Team.
Olley Krupp, Triway
If Flinner did his best work in open space, Krupp served as a key downfield threat as the senior put up 47 receptions, 628 receiving yards and six touchdown catches. Krupp made the Division V Northeast Inland District Offensive Second Team and PAC First Team.
Rylie Ramsier, Northwestern
The quick junior hauled in 51 catches, 962 receiving yards and eight touchdown receptions on 96.2 receiving yards per game. Ramsier made the Division V Northeast Inland District Offensive Second Team and WCAL First Team.
Ryder Ingold, Norwayne
Ingold was easily one of the finest pass catchers in all of Division V as both a deep threat with his speed and leaping ability, or doing the business in run-after-the-catch. The senior had 1,368 all-purpose yards (1,004 receiving, 207 kick return, 119 punt return, 38 rushing) and 13 touchdowns (12 catch, 1 kick return). Ingold was picked on the Division V All-Ohio First Team, Division V Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and WCAL First Team.
Breylon McDuffie, Orrville
Standing at 6-foot-5, McDuffie was a problem for smaller defensive backs in jump ball situations and used his tall frame to grab 61 catches, 895 receiving yards and eight touchdown receptions. The senior made the Division IV All-Ohio Third Team, Division IV Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and PAC First Team.
Tight Ends
Knox Lewis, Hillsdale
Playing a key role in the Hillsdale offense as a junior, Lewis, a Division VII Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention and WCAL Second Teamer, went on to catch 34 balls for 369 receiving yards and six touchdown grabs.
Offensive Line
Hillsdale Offensive Linemen: Brady Heller, Corbin Deter, Garrett Furr, Jake Haven, Wade Moody
Furr (Division VII Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention), Deter (Division VII Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention), Haven (Division VII All-Ohio Honorable Mention, Division VII Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team), Heller and Moody all as an offensive line unit were instrumental in the Falcons gaining over 5,000 total yards of offense (5,638), scoring 78 total TDs and 571 points (second most in school history for a single season).
Chase Tomassetti and Nathan Horst, Smithville
Both linemen were vital in how effective Smithville was in the many run formation looks they ran through the season. Tomassetti made the Division VI All-Ohio Third Team, Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team and WCAL First Team. Horst was on the Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive Second Team.
Corbin Lehman, Dalton
The senior offensive tackle finished the season with a 91 percent block efficiency while allowing just one sack. Lehman was on the Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive Second Team.
Landen Harvey, Triway
Harvey also stood out for his work on the defensive line, but his play on the offensive line is what caught the eyes of media members the most. The sophomore made the Division V All-Ohio Third Team and Division V Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team as an offensive lineman, while also landing on the PAC First Team.
Caleb Ruggles, Norwayne
The senior made the Division V Northeast Inland District Offensive Second Team and WCAL First Team.
Brahm Hostetler, Orrville
A four-year starter on the O-line, Hostetler was a Division IV Northeast Inland District Defensive Second Team as well and on the PAC First Team.
Haven Copenhaver and Brody Boreman, Wooster
The two senior linemen brought experience and physical play, which were one of the positives for Wooster even in a winless season. Copenhaver was named to the Division II Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention.
Max Coakley, West Holmes
The senior lineman was a Division IV All-Ohio Honorable Mention, Division IV East District Offensive First Team and OCC First Team pick.
Kickers
AJ Brown, Hillsdale
Brown will graduate as the top kicker in school history as the WCAL Special Teams Player of the Year went 49-of-52 on extra points and 5 for 5 on field goals, with his longest being 45 yards in 2025. The senior made the Division VII All-Ohio First Team and Division VII Northeast Inland District Offensive First Team.
Luke Synder, Smithville
Snyder made 41-of-45 extra point attempts and went 7 for 10 on field goal attempts this season. The junior was named to the Division VI Northeast Inland District Offensive Second Team.
Cohen Baker, Triway
The junior kicker made 48-of-56 extra points and went 6-of-8 on field goal attempts, with his longest field goal of the season being 41 yards. Baker, who averaged 43.3 yards per kickoff and 37.6 yards per punt, made the Division V Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention.
Luke Ruehling, Tuslaw
A Division V Northeast Inland District Honorable Mention pick, the senior averaged 55.1 yards per kickoff, 34.0 pards per punt and made 23-of-23 extra point attempts, along with one made field goal in three tries.
