A pedestrian died after he was struck by a car on Columbus’ Far East Side.
Lance Eyster, 61, died from injuries he suffered after a car struck him at 10:48 p.m. July 7 as he walked across East Broad Street at Blacklick Crossing, Columbus police said in a statement.
An eastbound Toyota Camry struck Eyster, police said. Paramedics took him to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition where he died at 11:23 p.m.
A witness told police Eyster was near the crosswalk, but outside it, and the Toyota had a green light.
