A member of one of rock music’s most recognizable bands recently made a stop at a local Delaware County restaurant.
Vittoria, an Italian eatery at 10241 Sawmill Parkway near Powell, shared on Facebook on June 2 that Tommy Thayer, lead guitarist for KISS, visited the restaurant for dinner the night before. In the post, the restaurant called the visit a “once-in-a-lifetime experience” and described Thayer as an exceptionally gifted and charismatic musician.
Thayer joined KISS in 2002 and performed with the band through its farewell “End of the Road” tour. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of KISS and has been involved in numerous charitable and entertainment projects throughout his career.
Vittoria opened in 2008 and has become a longtime dining destination in the Powell area, offering Italian cuisine and wood-fired pizzas. The restaurant expanded into its current Sawmill Parkway location in 2019, giving it additional seating and event space.
