Columbus man sentenced in 2021 shooting death at Sandpebble Lounge

On April 6, 2026, Nathan Roy pleaded guilty to felonious assault and having weapons under disability in connection with the March 7, 2021, shooting death of 19-year-old Christian Davis.

On June 2, 2026, Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Julie Lynch sentenced Roy to four to six years in prison.

South Side man charged in homicide outside lounge

A South Side man is facing a murder charge after being accused of killing a 19-year-old outside a lounge on March 7.

Columbus police arrested 36-year-old Nathan Roy Sunday without incident. 

Roy is accused of shooting 19-year-old Christian Davis, of Driving Park, at the Sandpebble Lounge around 1:55 a.m. March 7.

Davis was found on the outside patio of the lounge, located at 1913 Lockbourne Rd., with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital, but died about 30 minutes later. 

Witnesses told police Roy and Davis were in an altercation before the shooting. 

Roy is currently being held in the Franklin County jail.
