Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow arrived at Paycor Stadium wearing a white dress shirt with pinstripes and black jogging pants ahead of his team’s home-opening NFL Week 2 showdown with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Burrow’s close friend and former teammate, Sam Hubbard, reportedly was in the first car in the stadium tailgate lot when it opened at 9 a.m. Hubbard is scheduled to be the Bengals’ Ruler of the Jungle shortly before kickoff.
Burrow had just 113 passing yards in a Week 1 win against Cleveland. Browns defensive end Myles Garrett sacked Burrow twice during a particularly nightmarish second-half sequence.
“Obviously, second half wasn’t what we wanted last week but still things to build on,” Burrow said, per The Enquirer’s Pat Brennan. “Still, obviously, room to improve and just like every week, you learn from both the good and bad and move on.”
Burrow entered his sixth NFL season needing less than 1,000 passing yards to reach 20,000 in his career.
Burrow, named a Pro Bowler in 2024 for the second time, was the NFL’s leader in passing yardage and touchdown passes.
