Thank you, Trump!
As a proud Columbus Jewish American, I thank President Donald Trump for standing firm on one principle: Iran must never possess a nuclear weapon.
My people survived the Holocaust of the 20th century; I do not want to live long enough to witness the possibility of another catastrophe in the 21st. For decades, Iranian leaders and state figures have issued threats against Israel while pursuing advanced nuclear capabilities.
Reasonable people can debate foreign policy, military strategy and diplomacy.
But preventing a regime that openly threatens Israel with extinction from obtaining nuclear weapons should not be controversial. The stakes are too high.
I hope peace prevails. I hope diplomacy succeeds. But I am grateful for a leader who understands that some risks cannot be ignored.

I am not thankful for senseless pain and suffering
Well, while Americans are worried about rising gasoline, food, housing costs, etc. — much of which can be attributed to President Donald Trump’s little excursion in Iran — his latest justification for our pain and suffering is that we should all be thankful because, thanks to his heroic efforts, Iran will never acquire a nuclear weapon to be used against us.
I’ve got a newsflash for you, Mr. Trump: In almost 75 years of living on this planet, I have never, ever, ONCE awakened in the morning with the first thought in my head being, “I hope Iran doesn’t nuke America today.”
I’m not sure what YOUR first thought is upon waking up during a press conference, Cabinet meeting, etc.
