Northbound Interstate 75 is closed at I-275 due to a wrong-way, critical injury crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The highway will be shut down for hours, impacting the morning commute, a patrol dispatcher confirmed.
The multi-vehicle crash involving a semi happened around 2:15 a.m. Friday between I-275 and the exit for Union Centre Boulevard in West Chester Township.
A sedan driving southbound in the northbound lanes crashed into the semi, trapping one person inside, according to OSHP and initial emergency communication reports.
First responders requested a medical helicopter, but Air Care was not available.
Two people were transported by ambulance to West Chester Hospital, according to OSHP.
All northbound I-75 traffic is being diverted to eastbound or westbound I-275, OSHP says.
