Texas Roadhouse to hold Honor Flight benefit
ZANESVILLE − A fundraiser to benefit Honor Flight Columbus will be 3 to 10 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Texas Roadhouse, 635 Zane St. All of the profits will be donated to the program that takes military veterans on tours of Washington D.C. to view memorials and monuments.

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Community Foundation and J.W. and M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation will be accepting applications for the Make Muskingum Home program through Oct. 31. Up to $50,000 in student loan repayment assistance over five years is available to selected applicants committed to living and working in Muskingum County. Winners must reside in Muskingum County or be willing to relocate within 90 days of acceptance. Genesis Heart and Vascular marks milestone
ZANESVILLE − Genesis HealthCare System’s Heart and Vascular team recently performed its 1000th structural heart procedure. Structural heart disease refers to a problem with the physical parts of the heart that affects how the heart works. Doctors utilize a variety of advanced treatment options to treat structural heart disease. The goals are to use minimally invasive procedures that reduce risks, limit recovery time and usually enable patients to return home the day of the procedure or the next day.
Davies joins Genesis
ZANESVILLE − Dr. Alexandra Davies has joined Genesis Digestive Disease Specialists as a gastroenterologist. She completed her gastroenterology fellowship at McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan. She also served as a teaching faculty member for Michigan State University. Davies completed her internal medicine internship and residency at McLaren Macomb in Mount Clemens, Michigan. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky.
