The first three winners for the Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week poll for the spring season have come from the softball diamond.

Airport’s Olivia Tilley was the winner for April 6-12 following victories by Ally Griffith of Whiteford and Milan’s Charleigh Meggison.
Tilley drew 8,147 votes.
Second place went to Monroe soccer player Carmen Flatt with 6,576 and Dundee golfer Levi Evans was third with 1,663.
There were a total of 18,539 votes cast.
You can now cast your vote for the April 13-19 winner.
Polling will continue through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22.
Here are this week’s candidates in alphabetical order:
Zamir Austin, Monroe boys track and field: Recorded personal bests in the 100 and 200 meters and also won the long jump and high jump in a win over Ann Arbor Skyline.
Luke Dulecki, New Boston Huron boys track and field: Won the four longest events of the day (800, 1,600, 3,200, 3,200 relay) to lead a victory over Airport.
Max Flint, SMCC boys lacrosse: Collected nine goals during a win over Detroit Cass Tech.
Josh Hargraeves, Jefferson boys track and field: Led his team to the championship of the Jefferson Invitational by winning the 400 meters and long jump and running a leg on the winning 1,600 relay.
Julia Hughes, Ida girls track and field: Set a school record of :46.58 in the high hurdles and also won the lows and ran on two winning relays to lead her team to the title in the Whitmore Lake Invitational.
Braeden Lerette, Milan boys track and field: Won the long jump and both hurdles race and also won on a winning relay against Riverview. Finished first in the low hurdles at the Jefferson Invitational.
Brooklyn Martin, Airport softball: Tossed a five-inning perfect game with 8 strikeouts.
Olivia McMahon, Monroe softball: Earned both wins and racked up four hits in a doubleheader sweep.
Cash Moczydlowsky, New Boston Huron baseball: Threw his second career no-hitter in a 4-0 win over Airport. He was one walk away from a perfect game.
Guiliana Nastale, Erie Mason girls track and field: Won the 100 and 200 meters and ran on two winning relays in a key victory over Whiteford. Won the 100, 200 and 400 and ran on a winning relay at Jefferson Invitational.
Asher Simmons, Monroe baseball: Blasted a home run in each game of a doubleheader sweep, giving him home runs in three consecutive games.
Sophia Steinman, Bedford softball: Went 5-for-6 with six stolen bases in a doubleheader sweep.
Rose Tillman, New Boston Huron girls track and field: Won the 100 meters and long jump with personal bests in a win over Airport.
Avery Turk, New Boston Huron girls soccer: Racked up three goals and three assists Monday and two goals and four assists Wednesday.
Reece Wieckowski III, Gibraltar Carlson boys track and field: Set a school record in the 200 meters (:22.33) and also came close to the record in the 100 and ran a leg on the winning 400 relay.
