Property tax due date extended
The Coshocton County Treasurer’s Office has announced a delay in producing and mailing second half property tax bills for tax year 2025 due to the implementation of House Bill 186, relating to the Inflation Cap Credit to reduce property taxes on most residential parcels. Second half tax due dates have been extended to Aug. 4. For more information call the Coshocton County Auditor’s Office at 740-622-1243.
Ridgewood students make Mott Challenge finals
Ridgewood High School’s AI for Youth class members Joyce, Sophia Bluck and Bridget Kobel were named finalists for the Mott Million Dollar Challenge for their presentations June 15-16 in Flint, Michigan. The team secured $15,250 in scholarship awards for its Reading Reimagined AI program, a literacy platform for student use.
Coshocton BPW elects new officers
Coshocton Business and Professional Women will have its 2026 to 2027 officer installation at 6 p.m. June 23 at Rainbow Hills Winery, Brewery and Pizzeria in West Lafayette. New officers are President Sheila Mayse, Vice President Shelly Klein, Recording Secretary Aimee Neighbor, Treasurer Bobbie Warren and Corresponding Secretary Wendy Bowman. Health and wellness grant funding available
The Southeast Ohio Health and Wellness Foundation Fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio is accepting spring 2026 community grant applications through July 31. Funding requests should be from $500 to $5,000 with $25,000 total available. Non-profit and public organizations in Belmont, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Monroe, Muskingum, Noble and Tuscarawas counties may apply for projects and programs promoting health and wellness for community members of all ages. SWCD having pasture walks
The Coshocton Soil and Water Conservancy District will have two pasture walks this summer. Both are at 6:30 p.m. The first is June 23 at Rock Hill Farms, 17975 Township Road 65, with Bruce Stevens and will feature examples of water distribution and discussion on how the farm has handled drought and managing two herds. The second session is Aug. 25 at Martin Farm, 25513 Township Road 322, with Larry and Todd Endsley and will feature a walk through the seven-paddock rotational grazing system and discussion of cropland conversion, winter feeding and the flexibility of grazable hay fields. Chamber to recognize businesses, opening of pickleball court
The Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce will conduct three ribbon cuttings. The first is 11 a.m. June 24 at Young’s Real Estate Services, 1100 Fairy Falls Drive, Suite 5. A dual ribbon cutting for Jared’s Ice Cream and Good Boy Bakery’s new kitchen is 11 a.m. June 25, at 514 Main St. Another for new pickleball court at city recreation property behind Kids America will be at 11 a.m. June 26.
Independent living fair planned
Coshocton County Children Services will an interdependent living fair for children age 14 and older in the custody of Coshocton County Job and Family Services. It will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 26, in the Coshocton Coshocton County Community Room. There will be vendors explaining their services, refreshments and raffles. Neurographic art class offered by art guild
The Coshocton Art Guild will host a neurographic art class from 5 to 7 p.m. June 30, at the Tollhouse, 408 N. Whitewoman St. Neurographic art is a meditative drawing practice combining psychology, art and mindfulness to reduce stress and unlock creativity. Facilitators are Melissa Maxwell and B.J. Taylor. Cost is $20.

● National Alliance on Mental Illness Family Support Group of Coshocton County will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 2,2 at AllWell. The program will be Fueling Wellness: How Nutrition Supports Mental Health by Emily Marrison, family and consumer sciences educator of Ohio State University Extension.
● River View Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. June 26, at the administration center in Warsaw. This is a date change from previously announced. The finance committee will meet at 8 a.m. June 23 at the administration building.
● Coshocton County Board of Revision will meet at 1 p.m. June 29, at the Coshocton County Treasurer’s Office, to hear complaints filed for tax year 2025.
