Guardians sign free agent reliever Connor Brogdon

CLEVELAND — The Guardians have added to their bullpen depth.

Cleveland and relief pitcher Connor Brogdon are in agreement on a deal for 2026. The club has confirmed the deal.

Brogdon, who turns 31 in January, has career 4.36 ERA across six major league seasons, mostly recently with the Los Angeles Angels. In 2026, he posted a 5.55 ERA with 49 strikeouts in 47 innings.

Brogdon has just over four years of service time, meaning he’ll also be eligible for arbitration after the 2026 season, meaning he has two years of control despite it being a one-year deal.

Brogdon is a fit for the Guardians and pitching coach Carl Willis, as he’s in the 92nd percentile of extension, which has been a calling card for Cleveland over the last few years.
