Needing to replenish at the guard spot, the University of Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball program has signed one of coach Jerrod Calhoun’s players at Utah State, guard Elijah Perryman.

Perryman’s news came April 20, the same day as North Dakota State guard Trevian Carson. UC confirmed Perryman’s signing with a social media post.

Perryman will be a sophomore and averaged 4.4 points per game for the Aggies, playing in all 36 games with one start. He shot 44% from the field, 30% on triples and 80% from the free-throw line. Perryman was third on the team with 110 assists and had 28 steals.

His high game came against Fresno State when he had 16 points and dished out seven assists while going 4-for-5 from the 3-point line. A three-year starter at his high school in California, he was rated the 25th-best player in the state his senior season.

Perryman joins Adlan Elamin and David Iweze from last season’s 29-7 Utah State team that Jerrod Calhoun coached.
