Fenwick girls, CCD's Luke Schneiber lead way at Division III, IV indoor state track meet

The Ohio indoor track and field state meets, sponsored by the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches, wrapped up on Saturday with the Division III, Division IV and seated meets at Spire Institute in Geneva.

Cincinnati boasted three state champions, two of them relays. The Indian Hill quarter of Ella Grant, Sabrina Mangialardo, Josephine Tindale and Claire Wilkes won the DIII 4×800 meter relay in 10:18.0, four seconds clear of Fenwick. Madeira also finished fifth in the event.

Not to be outdone, Makenzie Fallon, Samantha Long, Sophia Tebbe and Hailey Yontz led the Falcons to victory in the 4×400 meter relay, crossing the line in 4:06.84. Long also took fourth place in the 400-meter dash to help Fenwick score 23 points and finish tied for fourth in the girls DIII team race.

Cincinnati Country Day’s Luke Schneiber was the lone boys champion, winning the DIV pole vault in a new school record of 17 feet, 0.25 inches, which is also the best indoor mark in the state this season. Coming off a third-place result at the 2025 DIII outdoor meet, he will certainly be a name to watch this spring.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy senior Brilyn Foust had one of the best individual days of any Cincinnati athlete, taking second place in the DIII 60-meter dash in a new personal best of 7.84 seconds, and eighth in the 200-meter dash in a personal best of 26.1 seconds.
