A fatal crash in Franklin County closed U.S. 40 in both directions July 28.
A Franklin County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher said the crash happened just before 7 a.m. at U.S. 40 and Alton Darby Creek Road. The crash involved a tractor trailer and a sedan, said the dispatcher, who could not share further details.
Dispatch news partner NBC4/WMCH-TV reported one person died in the crash and the driver of the tractor trailer was hospitalized in unknown condition.
An Ohio Department of Transportation traffic camera showed a Fedex tractor trailer blocking both directions of the roadway as of 10 a.m.
A Franklin County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson did not immediately respond to a call seeking information.
