Former Xavier Musketeers forward Dailyn Swain was picked 15th overall by the Chiago Bulls in the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday, June 23.
Over two seasons at Xavier, Swain appeared in 63 games (36 starts) and averaged 8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
He arrived at Xavier as a four-star recruit from Columbus Africentric High School and was thrown into the fire early as a true freshman. Swain was named to the Big East’s All-Freshman Team along with teammate Trey Green.
As a sophomore, Swain’s growth into a full-time starter helped fuel Xavier’s run to the NCAA Tournament. He started 33 of 34 games during the 2024-25 season and averaged 11 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
In his final game with the Musketeers, Swain scored a then-career high 27 points on 10 of 17 shooting in Xavier’s first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Illinois in Milwaukee.
Last offseason, Swain was one of two players (along with Lassina Traore) to follow head coach Sean Miller to Texas. Swain averaged 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game last season, helping lead the Longhorns to a Sweet 16 appearance.
Swain declared for the NBA Draft on April 7.
