Huff has dedicated countless hours to supporting the district’s vocational agricultural program. His contributions have had a lasting impact on students and staff alike, the announcement stated.

He has played a key role in the development and ongoing support of Ridgewood’s new school farm, providing hands-on learning opportunities that bring agriculture to life for students. He has also assisted with student supervised agricultural experience projects and volunteered to judge contests,

In addition to his work with programs and facilities, Huff has been a mentor to many students by offering guidance, encouragement and real-world insight that helps prepare them for future careers in agriculture and beyond.

Huff’s daughter, Alaena, also received her state FFA degree. Huff was nominated for the honor by local advisers Sue Davis and Logan Pyers.

“We are incredibly proud of Ed and all that he has done for our students and our agricultural program,” Superintendent Mike Masloski, said in the announcement. “His dedication, generosity of time and passion for helping students succeed truly embody what FFA is all about. To see him recognized at the state level — and to share that moment with his daughter — makes this honor even more special for our entire Ridgewood community.”
