To all East Canton veterans past and present.
I along with other East Canton community members want to apologize for the pathetic change to our traditional Memorial Day parade route.
The fact it no longer goes to our community cemeteries where some of our local veterans are laid to rest was the whole point of having a parade. Shame on the mayor and police chief for the excuses made for the changes.
As a person that provided security and traffic control on the parade route for many years, we didn’t make excuses, we just got the job done. Thank you, veterans for your service. Some of us still care.
PS: And on the traffic cameras, don’t get me started. What a money grab they are. How sad. Welcome to our community, here is your $200 civil violation. Thank you for your patronage. Come back soon. Oh, and you can keep the picture.
