DOVER ‒ David Callender has been chosen by the Tuscarawas County Democratic Party’s Dover Central Committee to fill a ballot position to run for Dover city council at large.
The ballot position had been held by Michael DiDonato, who formally withdrew his name from the 2025 general election.
Callender is the owner of Pro Av of Ohio, a business that designs, installs and services professional sound, lighting and video systems for businesses, organizations and churches in eastern Ohio. He also is the owner of Better Banner Printing/Better Printing Co., a business that offers clients, local and nationally, the opportunity to have custom signage that reaches businesses and organizations across the USA.
He currently is serving as the secretary-treasurer and member of BNI Tuscarawas Gateway, a local small business organization working to promote business growth among quality local businesses and organizations.
Callender is a 2000 graduate of the University of Vermont with a BA in economics/business administration. He and his wife, Heather, have lived in Dover the past 23 years and have four children, Clayton, Jillian, Savannah and William.
Dover resident Mark Incarnato also applied for the position.
