The Covington Police Department is investigating after receiving a missing persons report for Todd Garland Monday, June 22, police spokesperson Justin Bradbury said.
Garland has been missing since about June 9, according to his former employer Roebling Books & Coffee.
“If you’ve been to the Newport shop regularly, you know and love Todd. Please keep an eye and ear out,” said a Facebook post by Roebling Books & Coffee.
Garland worked at the shop for about four years before leaving in December 2025, according to Julia Keister, spokesperson of the Northern Kentucky business. He also worked at Blinkers Tavern in Covington for a few months in 2026.
During a wellness check at Garland’s apartment on Friday, June 19, Keister said police found his cell phone, dog, and cat. Garland’s pets were alive but malnourished.
Outside of Roebling Books & Coffee, Keister said Garland’s closest friends are the people at Covington’s Trinity Church, where he attends service and sings in the choir.
Police ask anyone with information to call detectives at 859-292-2234 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
