Chapman's Is Closing. Why to Go Again Before It Does

By now, you’ve probably heard the news that Chapman’s Eat Market will close in August. Chef BJ Lieberman opened Chapman’s in August 2020, originally as a carryout-only restaurant that served high-end burgers and house-made ice cream. It has evolved over the years to serve as both a lively neighborhood haunt and a nationally known destination, earning acclaim—including Lieberman’s two-time recognition as a James Beard Award semi-finalist—along the way. And while Lieberman’s imprint on the area restaurant scene will continue, as he and his wife Bronwyn Haines own and operate Ginger Rabbit Jazz Club and newly opened Metsi’s, Chapman’s was the place that started it all. If you haven’t been, or haven’t visited in awhile, here’s why you might want to do so while you still can.
