NEW PHILADELPHIA ‒ Nonpartisan candidates for Tuscarawas County village councils, school boards and township trustees have filed their petitions with the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections.
Aug. 6 was the deadline in Ohio for nonpartisan candidates to file for the Nov. 4 general election. Early voting begins on Oct. 7.
The petitions still must be certified by the board of elections before the candidates’ names can appear on the ballot.
