Cleveland Browns’ first round wide receiver KC Concepcion had been assigned the number 17 and had worn it during rookie minicamp.
However, appearing at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, Concepcion joined teammates Denzel Boston and Taylen Green. When wearing his Browns uniform for the first time, Concepcion was wearing the number 1 on his brown and orange jersey. This has sent a commotion through the fanbase about what the actual jersey assignments are, and there is more than just one player at play here.
Concepcion not the only Browns player impacted
With Concepcion being assigned number 17, rookie linebacker Justin Jefferson was assigned the number 10. The issue here, however, is that second-year running back Quinshon Judkins wears the number 10. This made many, including the Browns’ social media team, hint that Judkins is going to switch back to his college number, which was 1.
That is why Concepcion showing up in the number 1 has caused a ruckus.
The Browns’ website has both Judkins and Jefferson listed as number 10. Concepcion is not listed yet as he has not signed his rookie contract officially, and nobody is listed with the number 1.
So, who is actually number 1? Is it Concepcion or Judkins? If it is Concepcion, then what number is Judkins going to wear?
