Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is once again a member of Madden NFL’s most exclusive group.
For the second year in a row, Chase is one of six players to earn a 99 overall rating in the EA Sports video game. In Madden NFL 27, he joins Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and defensive end Myles Garrett, Cardinals tight end Trey McBride and Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Nijgba in the 99 Club.
Chase, who is entering his sixth season in the NFL, was previously rated 99 in Madden NFL 26. He remains the first and only Bengal to achieve this status. His rating in the video game has been a 94 or higher since 2024.
Madden NFL 27 release date, cover athlete
Madden NFL 27 releases on Aug. 13 worldwide, with Bears quarterback Caleb Williams being on the cover. Tuesday, July 27 marks the start of the ratings reveal for NFL players in the game, with more expected to come in the leadup to its release. The next-highest rated Bengals player in Madden 26 was quarterback Joe Burrow, who had a 97 overall rating.
In the 2025-26 season, Chase recorded 125 receptions for 1,412 yards, as well as eight touchdowns. He was named a First-Team All-Pro for the second time in his career.
