Bengals' Logan Wilson requests trade after benching saga

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson has requested a trade.

According to ESPN’s Ben Baby, Wilson put in the request this week.

Two weeks ago, Wilson was benched and working special teams while the Bengals undergo a youth movement under coordinator Al Golden.

At linebacker, the Bengals have leaned heavily into rookies Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter. Wilson, a captain, had been struggling with tackling woes and was critical of the communication around his recent benching. 

Wilson played 12 snaps in Week 6 when initially benched, then just 26 last week.
