Win back-to-back national championships or finally beat Michigan? Dispatch.com readers can vote on what they would rather see from Ohio State in the 2025 college football season.
Unranked Michigan beat Ohio State 13-10 in 2024, giving the Wolverines their fourth straight win over coach Ryan Day. Despite the crushing loss, Ohio State entered the College Football Playoff as the No. 8 seed, beating Tennessee Oregon and Texas to make the national championship game. The Buckeyes took down Notre Dame 34-23 for the national title.
Georgia is the only team to win consecutive national titles in the College Football Playoff era, doing so in 2021 and 2022.
If Day loses five consecutive games to Michigan, he would join John Wilce as the only two Ohio State coaches to do so (Wilce lost six times to Michigan from 1922-27).
What would fans rather have in the 2025 season? Vote in our poll below. Poll results will be released during the week of “The Game.”
