WASHINGTON TWP. TRUSTEES – Washington Township trustees plan a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. June 24 at Township Hall for the purpose of dismissal or demotion of a public employee. The board’s next regular meeting will be 6:30 p.m. July 6 at Township Hall.
WINONA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL – The 13th annual Winona Strawberry Festival will run 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 28 on the campus of Winona Historical Society, at Winona Road and Cameron Street in Winona. (Use 32114 Winona Road, Hanoverton, in a GPS search.) Food will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., including barbecue chicken halves, sandwiches, sides, homemade desserts and strawberry topping for homemade ice cream. Historical Societies and museums from around Columbiana County will be on hand as part of the America 250 celebration of America’s 250th birthday. A live sale by Kiko Auctions of items donated by businesses and community members at 2 p.m. will benefit Winona Area Historical Society. Items donation is open until June 26. Contact Vivienne at 330-332-4322. Cash and personal checks are accepted forms of payment. Free parking is available on the historical society property east of the meeting house.
GRANGE BREAKFAST – Smith Grange plans its monthly breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 21 at 11090 Beloit Snodes Road. Meals are $12 for ages 13 and older; $5 for ages 6 to 12; and free for ages 5 and younger. Dine in or carry out.
