The Akron RubberDucks are moving up the start time of Saturday’s game with a round of showers and thunderstorms expected at night.
The start has been changed to a 4:05 p.m. (previously 6:05 p.m.). Gates will now open at 3 p.m., the team announced late April 3.
All postgame activities, including an Easter egg hunt and fireworks, are still on as scheduled.
Tickets for the game against the Reading Fightin Phils can be purchased by visiting akronrubberducks.com.
Temperature swing and more rain late Saturday
During the day of April 4, it’s expected to be partly sunny in Akron, with a high near 79, the National Weather Service in Cleveland says. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m.
Expect a southwest wind of 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
A strong cold front will sweep through late in the day, the weather service says. The chance of rain is 100%, and the low will drop to 43.
