Don’t take too big a sigh of relief just yet. Several counties in Northeast Ohio, including Medina, Portage and Summit, could still face air quality issues as the area remains under an Air Quality Advisory. This advisory is until midnight Sunday, July 18.
According to the National Weather Service, air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups during this period. This category includes children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties. Sensitive groups should monitor your outdoor activity and check air quality readings at airnow.gov. Additionally, those wishing for up-to-date information can sign up at enviroflash.info for text alerts regarding air quality.
