A 19-year-old male was killed the evening of July 14 in a homicide, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s office.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 600 block of Callis Oval at approximately 9:50 p.m. Tuesday following an altercation, Gary Guenther, lead investigator with the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, said in a release.
The victim had multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General.
He was pronounced dead at 10:17 p.m.
Once the victim is identified, an update will be provided, Guenther said.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Akron Police Department are investigating the incident.
