A 23-year-old Yonkers man has been indicted on assault and burglary charges alleging he beat up two ex-girlfriends, one of whom he twice broke into her apartment, the Westchester District Attorney’s Office said.
Jaden Ross pleaded not guilty Tuesday, May 12, to felony charges of first- and second-degree burglary and multiple misdemeanors stemming from alleged abusive behavior from August to December 2025.
“The serial nature of the defendant’s alleged predation is deeply disturbing,” DA Susan Cacace said in a news release announcing the indictment. “My office will continue to advocate for each of the defendant’s victims throughout the course of this prosecution and beyond, as we do for all survivors of domestic abuse in this county.”
Ross was initially arrested in August 2025 after he accosted a former girlfriend when she told him she didn’t want to continue their relationship because she knew he had hurt another woman, according to the DA’s news release. Ross allegedly put his hands around her neck and squeezed, knocking her to the ground, before running off with her cellphone.
In November, Ross allegedly punched another former intimate partner multiple times and pulled her hair during an argument in her apartment building. He ran off but returned and allegedly cut the screen to her bedroom window, entered and punched her several more times. Around that time he also allegedly threatened her in a series of harassing messages, the news release said.
The following month, as the second victim’s son was with her, Ross allegedly stood on her fire escape and opened her window, threatening to hit her and refusing to leave as he taunted her about how easy it is to get into her apartment.
The misdemeanor charges include criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, petty larceny, second-degree aggravated harassment, third-degree stalking, third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child.
Ross faces up to 25 years in prison on the top charge, first-degree burglary.
Westchester Judge Susan Capeci set bail at $30,000 cash, $100,000 bond or $200,000 bond secured with $20,000 cash. Ross remains at the Westchester County jail and is due back in county court on June 2.
